Jeremy Todd is a singer/songwriter from Southern Illinois.  Join us as we discuss his process for songwriting, his influences, and what it means emotionally when you perform a song that is close to you.

Showtime declared Pat Hazell one of the five funniest people in America. His 30 years of experience as a writer, producer and director have made him a go-to guy for new American theater. 
Pat is one of the original writers for NBC’s Seinfeld, a veteran of The Tonight Show, a critically acclaimed playwright and a contributing commentator to National Public Radio. He is recognized for his genuinely funny Americana humor and his salute to nostalgia.
As the Chief Creative Officer of Sweetwood Creative, he is responsible for the national tours of six original productions: Bunk Bed Brothers, The Wonder Bread Years, The Good Humor Men, My Funny Valentine, A Kodachrome Christmas and Pat Hazell’s Permanent Record. He is also the host of the Creativity in Captivity podcast, that showcases conversations with the most creative people on the planet. However, his greatest accomplishment is being the father of two of the brightest shining stars in the universe, Tucker and Keaton.
 

State of the Arts - Ep 6 - Shawn Vincelette, bringing his art back to his hometown.

Shawn Vincelette is an Artist whose work spans many mediums.  He has published books of collections of historic architectural pencils drawing of both Marion and Savannah GA.  He is a painter and a muralist.  You can find his working both hanging on walls throughout the community as well as directly on the walls of buildings in downtown Marion.  
Shawn and Josh discuss the Murals he has worked on in the community as well as how his newest series of paintings the Iconic Personalities series came to happen.  His Iconic Personalities Series is featured on the Community Arts Wall during the Months of May and June in the lobby of the Marion Cultural and Civic Center.

April Camden Mitter joins us today to discuss the Market Street Music Conservatory. During the podcast we learn about all the different disciplines offered at the conservatory. Mary Ann Stotlar is the New Chair of the Board of Directors for the Marion Cultural and Civic Center. She has served on the board for 47 years first taking her position on the board in 1975. We look forward to the depth of knowledge, history and experience Mary Ann Stotlar brings to the position. Her bright energy will serve as a strong guiding light as we move forward as an organization. Mary Ann Stotlar presided over her first Marion Cultural and Civic Center Board of Directors meeting this evening with grace and passion. Thank you Mary Ann Stotlar for stepping up to lead and be an advocate for the arts.
